Utility Bus Switches
Switches
ON ( switch in ) - Connects the associated Utility Bus and galley buses to the respective main AC bus if no
load shed signal is present.
OFF ( switch out ) - Disconnects the associated Utility Bus and galley buses from their respective main AC
bus and resets the load shed circuitry.
OFF Light - Indicate the associated Utility Bus is unpowered, either from load shed or from turning the switch OFF.
APU GEN Switch
Switch
ON - Closes the APU Generator field and arms the auxiliary power breaker (APB) for automatic operation.
OFF - Opens the APU Generator field and locks the APB open.
OFF Light - Indicates the APB is locked open, either from a fault trip or from turning the APU GEN switch OFF.
EXT PWR Switch
Switch
ON - Closes the External Power contactor (EPC), overriding the normal bus Power priorities to trip off the APU and/or engine Generators and power the AC tie bus.
OFF - Opens the EPC, removing External Power from the AC tie bus.
AVAIL Light - Indicates acceptable External Power is plugged into the External Power receptacle(s).
GEN CONT Switches
Switches
ON ( switch in ) - Closes the associated Generator field and arms the Generator breaker to close or open automatically.
OFF ( switch out ) - Opens the associated Generator field and breaker and resets the automatic trip circuitry.
OFF Lights - Indicate the associated Generator breaker is open, either from automatic trip or turning the switch OFF.
Bus Tie Switches
Switch
AUTO ( switch in) - Arms the associated AC Bus Tie breaker for automatic operation to power the AC buses.
ISLN ( switch out) - Opens the associated AC Bus Tie breaker and resets the automatic trip circuitry.
AVAIL Light - Indicate the associated Bus Tie breaker is locked open, either from a fault trip or turning the switch OFF.
